And Mojito

Mojito is one of the most famous rum blends. Originated in Cuba. Traditionally, Mojito is a cocktail made of five ingredients: light rum, sugar (traditionally cane juice), lime juice, soda water and mint. The most original Cuban formula is to use spearmint or lemon mint common on the island of Cuba. The refreshing taste of lime and mint is to complement the strength of rum, and make this transparent and colorless blend one of the popular drinks in summer. This blend has a relatively low alcohol content (about 10%), glass cookware    .

origin

Mojito was born in the romantic old age of the Cuban revolution, or even earlier. The exact origin of Mojito has not been verified. We believe that it originated from Draque, which is said to be a pirate drink. Francis, a British pirate Sir Drake (he is called "dragon" by the Spanish) invented this drink. Drake did go to Cuba. However, according to the traditional criteria for evaluating the consequences of piracy and sabotage, he did not cause much damage there. Maybe he was busy opening a party at that time. In 1830, the first allusion about Mojito's prototype confirmed his Cuban origin. In Ramon de Paima's novel "The Pirate King", One character said: "Every morning at 11:00, I have to drink a little Draga to make me energetic. This not only explains the pirate lineage of this wine, but also clearly shows that Mojito is a wine to drink in the morning. With the revival of cocktail culture, the increase of interest in using fresh materials, the rise of Latin American food craze and the popularity of Cuban music, Mojito has been widely welcomed in the United States. It has a new look, including squeezed lime and crushed ice And chopped mint, a new and improved version, began to sweep the world from the United States. By adding fruit beyond lime juice, Mojito is still evolving towards a fresh taste.
