Glass pot

Speaking of all kinds of pots in the kitchen, there is no doubt that those "high value" pots will always be the most moving.

Such as the "enamel pot" that has been burning for many years. However, when the gorgeous appearance faded, more and more people found that the enamel pot was just a layer of "enamel" on the cast iron pot in the 1980s and 1990s.

Almost at the same time as the enamel pot, there is another kind of pot, that is, "glass pot". For the latter, I believe many people are familiar with it. Even "loyal fans" of glass pots have replaced all the pots and pans in the kitchen with glass pots, glass cookware    .

It is not a simple personal behavior to have such high "attachment" to the glass jar. In fact, around us, glass jars have entered the homes of too many ordinary people.

So the question is, is it worth investing in a set of glass pots and pans with hundreds or even thousands of yuan? Is it a artifact or a chicken rib? Next, I will talk about the truth in the form of "one question and one answer" from the perspective of personal experience, hoping to make everyone more rational about the glass pot.

1、 Why did I start with the glass pot?

At first, I didn't know there was a "glass pot", but when I went to her friend's house to play, I accidentally went to her kitchen and saw such an "amber" pot.

I have to say that "following the trend" is not the key reason for me to open the glass pot. I am willing to pay for it for only one reason, that is "beauty". Admittedly, the glass pot is really beautiful. I believe that many people are attracted by its "color". In fact, in my opinion, it should be stained with amber light. Although it has nothing to do with amber, it looks really like amber.

It seems to give people a feeling of "high-end", "luxury" and "petty bourgeoisie".

This, in my opinion, is the biggest selling point of glass cans

2、 Glass pot, can it fry?

For this problem, although some people are "unable to say" (afraid of being told that they have no knowledge

In fact, after my research, I found that there is a high probability that glass cans on the market will not explode. Of course, except for those glass pots of poor quality.

American Family Classroom Guide:

Here, I want to share my "common sense". In theory, all glass products will not be blown out easily under high temperature. Because the formation of glass requires an environment of thousands of degrees Celsius. So it will not "explode" at high temperature.

However, it is important to know that the premise of "explosion" is that the instantaneous temperature difference exceeds the range of the glass itself. For example, some ordinary glass cups we use to drink water may explode if we pour out hot water and replace it with ice water. In fact, this is caused by the low instantaneous temperature difference that ordinary glass can withstand (the instantaneous temperature difference will explode if it exceeds 80 ℃).

There are basically two types of glass used in glass cans on the market:

One is "high borosilicate glass" and the other is "ceramic glass" (also called microcrystalline glass).

The advantages of the above two kinds of glass in high temperature resistance are naturally superior to ordinary glass. The tolerable "instantaneous temperature difference" is several times higher than that of ordinary glass.

For example, glass cans made of high borosilicate can withstand an instantaneous temperature difference of about 150 ℃, while ceramic glass can withstand an instantaneous temperature difference of more than 400 ℃.

So as long as it is made of the above two materials, it will not explode easily in theory. And the glass pot made of ceramic glass is obviously of better quality.

3、 What are the commendable advantages of using glass pots?

The glass pot that costs a lot of money must be used more. So after I started, I began to try. During the whole experience, I found that it has the following advantages:

1. The pot cover is transparent and the ingredients are visible.

In this respect, it is similar to my transparent electric steamer, because the glass material is transparent, so in the process of making delicious food, the internal changes of the ingredients are clear at a glance.

2. It is an "all-purpose pot"

Because the glass pot has strong heat resistance and stable glass, it really doesn't choose stoves. Whether it's a gas cooker or microwave oven, or an electric ceramic oven or a steam oven, it's OK.

Moreover, it is undeniable that it is an advantage to use glass pots to fry vegetables.

3. No coating, relatively safe.

Compared with all kinds of non-stick pots at home, the glass pot is safer to use because it has no coating.

4、 Are there any chicken ribs in the glass pot?

Acknowledge the advantages of the glass pot, but also face up to its many disadvantages. After more than one month's experience, to be honest, the frequency of using glass pots is gradually decreasing. The reason is also very simple. It is these chicken ribs that drive me crazy:

1. It is easy to paste the pan. It is recommended to stir it in time.

Because the density of glass is high and the heat conduction is fast, it is easy to paste the bottom of the pan if you do not stir it in time when making some Congee.

2. Not easy to clean, pay attention to "skills"

Although many businesses claim that the glass pot is clean, they will find that the glass pot is really "sentimental" in terms of cleaning. Because steel balls can not be used, and it is easy to paste the bottom of the pot, so pay attention to the method when cleaning, otherwise it is difficult to thoroughly clean the glass pot.

In my experience, every time you use a glass pot, you should use a cleaning cloth to clean it, or soak it in warm water before cleaning, otherwise it is too difficult to clean it.

3. Construction resistance

In fact, many pots and pans in the kitchen are either stainless steel or iron, so they are "resistant". Don't be careful when using it. The glass pot is different. After all, handle it carefully. After all, glass is fragile. So don't expect the service life of the glass pot to be longer than that of other pots.
