Characteristics of Glass Mosaics

Glass mosaics have the advantages of soft tone, simplicity, elegance, aesthetics, chemical stability, and good thermal and cold stability. Moreover, it has characteristics such as non discoloration, no dust accumulation, light bulk density, and strong bonding, and is mostly used for indoor local and balcony exterior decoration. Its compressive strength, tensile strength, high temperature resistance, water resistance, and acid resistance all meet national standards. Including crystal glass mosaic, 3D glass mosaic, Venus glass mosaic, pearl light glass mosaic, cloud glass mosaic, metal mosaic and other series.

Sintering process of glass mosaic

The sintering process of glass mosaic includes melting method and sintering method. The melting method is mainly made from quartz sand, limestone, feldspar, soda ash, colorants, and emulsifiers. After high-temperature melting, it is formed by axial or plane rolling, and finally annealed. The sintering method is made from materials such as waste glass and adhesives through processes such as pressing, drying, sintering, and annealing.

The Application of Glass Mosaics

Glass mosaics are used in swimming pools, science and technology museums, cinemas, television towers, kindergartens, amusement parks (horror houses), flower terraces and water pavilions, courtyard pavilions, temple gardens and islands, furniture and bathrooms, Disco dance halls, ice rinks, bars, clubs, and more. Especially when the surrounding environment is dark at night and applied on indoor walls and floors, the luminous effect is more prominent. If matched with purple light, energy-saving light, and fluorescent light for targeted illumination during design and construction, the building itself will have a crystal clear feeling like jade just after turning off the lights, emitting light and tranquility, adding extraordinary mysterious colors and infinite romantic atmosphere to the building itself in the night.
Construction of glass mosaic
1. Ensure that the construction surface is flat and clean, mark the reference line, and then evenly apply mosaic neutral adhesive to the construction surface.
2. Paste the mosaic in sequence, leaving appropriate gaps between each piece. After each piece is pasted, use a wooden strip to flatten the mosaic, ensuring that each area is compacted and fully bonded with the adhesive.
3. Tear the paper every other day or after the Adhesive dries. Wet the sticker with a sponge dipped in water and wait until the sticker is completely wet before tearing it off.
4. Caulking. Use tools to fully fill the gaps with mosaic crystal sealant or original priming Adhesive, white cement, etc.
5. Cleaning. Clean the excess sealant attached to the mosaic with a damp sponge, and then wipe it with a dry cloth
