Home Decoration Knowledge Glass

Glass is widely used in decoration, from exterior windows to indoor screens, door leaves, and so on,Glass product   .

Ordinary flat glass

3-4 millimeters (also known as millimeters in daily life) glass, mainly used on the surface of picture frames;

5-6 cm glass, mainly used for small transparent shapes such as exterior walls, windows, door leaves, etc;

7-9 cm glass, mainly used in larger areas such as indoor screens but with frame protection in the design;

9-10 cm glass, can be used for decoration projects such as large indoor partitions and guardrails;

11-12 cm glass, can be used in floor spring glass doors and some partitions with high pedestrian flow;

Glass with a thickness of 15 cm or more is generally sold less on the market and often requires ordering. It is mainly used for large areas of floor spring glass doors, exterior walls, and whole glass walls.

Tempered glass

It is a type of prestressed glass that is processed from ordinary flat glass.

Tempered glass has two main characteristics compared to ordinary flat glass:

1) The strength of the former is several times that of the latter, the tensile strength is more than three times that of the latter, and the impact resistance is more than five times that of the latter.

2) Tempered glass is not easily broken, and even if broken, it will break in the form of non sharp particles, greatly reducing harm to human health.

Frosted glass

It is made by sanding ordinary flat glass. Generally, the thickness is below 9 millimeters, with a thickness of 5 or 6 millimeters being the most common.

Due to the rough surface, light diffuses and is transparent without perspective, making indoor light soft and not dazzling.

Commonly used for doors, windows, and partitions in bathrooms and offices that require concealment. When using, the hair should face indoors, but when using the bathroom, the hair should face outward.

sandblasted glass

A process in which water is mixed with diamond sand and high-pressure sprayed onto the surface of glass to polish it. Sandblasted glass uses high-tech technology to cause erosion on the surface of flat glass, resulting in a semi transparent misty effect with a hazy aesthetic.

The performance is basically similar to that of Frosted glass, but the difference is that the frosted glass is changed to sandblasting.

In the decoration of a living room, it is mainly used in areas that define the area but are not closed to each other. For example, between the dining room and the living room, a beautiful screen can be made of sandblasted glass. Applied to indoor partitions, decorations, screens, bathrooms, furniture, doors and windows, etc.

Patterned glass

Embossed glass, also known as patterned glass or rolled glass.

The physical and chemical properties of embossed glass are basically the same as that of ordinary transparent flat glass. It only has the characteristics of transparency and opacity in optics, which can make the light soft, and has a private screen protection effect and a certain decorative effect.

Suitable for indoor partitions, bathroom doors and windows, and various occasions where visibility needs to be blocked, ultra white embossed glass is also widely used in the photovoltaic field. When installing, the decorative surface can be oriented towards the interior to enhance the sense of decoration; As a bathroom, when using bathroom doors and windows, doors and windows, and interior partition glass, attention should be paid to placing their patterned faces outward to prevent surface immersion and perspective.

Wired glass

Wired glass, also known as shatterproof glass and steel wire glass. In the rolling production process, a special type of glass is formed by pressing the wire mesh into a semi liquid glass strip.

The advantage is that the strength of glass is higher than that of ordinary glass. When the glass is subjected to impact or temperature fluctuations, it can break without missing, crack without scattering, and avoid small fragments of edges and corners from flying out and injuring people. For example, when a fire spreads and the wire glass is heated and cracked, it can still maintain a fixed state, playing a role in isolating the fire, so it is also known as fire-resistant glass.

Wired glass is commonly used in skylights, ceilings, and doors and windows that are prone to vibration.

Glass bricks

The production process of glass bricks is basically the same as that of flat glass, with the difference being the molding method. It is often used in decorative projects or transparent shapes with insulation requirements.

Applied to exterior walls: It not only has the physical properties of walls, but also has the transparency of windows, and more importantly, it also has transparency, sound insulation, fire prevention, etc.

Applied to partitions: Decorating partitions with glass brick walls can not only divide large spaces but also maintain their integrity, achieving a private effect while maintaining a sense of indoor transparency.

Applied to corridors and passages: Applied to corridors, it effectively solves the contradiction between lighting and safety. Only one glass brick wall that is both a wall and a window is needed to achieve the most harmonious unity. Using glass bricks in narrow passage areas can reduce the sense of space oppression.

Applied to inlay and embellishment: Glass bricks are regularly embellished in the wall, removing the rigid and heavy feeling of the wall.

Applied to ceiling and floor: Using glass bricks to treat the ground and ceiling can create a crystal clear feeling for the entire floor and provide good lighting.

Cellophane

Also known as glass film, it has various colors and designs. Depending on the performance of the paper film, it has different properties. Most of them have functions such as insulation, infrared protection, UV protection, and explosion protection
