Home feng shui cannot be misused with glass



With the continuous renovation of home decor trends, young people who have been catching up with fashion recently like to add glass elements to their home decor, from the entry-level glass porch to the glass floor tiles in the living room, and then to the glass covered toilet in the master bedroom. Pattern 1: Glass partition room is not suitable

Professor Ye Chunsheng, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Folklore Society and Professor of Sun Yat sen University, said that glass has a mysterious light that is not suitable anywhere, and it is even more important to pay attention to it in home furnishings. The glass partition between the living room and bedroom is not suitable because it has a clear view and can disrupt people's thinking.



In terms of feng shui, the living room is the area where guests move, belonging to yang, while the bedroom is the place where the host rests, belonging to yin. If glass walls are used, it becomes a clear view pattern, allowing the host and guests in the hall to have a panoramic view of every move without any privacy, resulting in an imbalance between yin and yang, which makes people emotionally unstable and absentminded.



Pattern 2 Glass Toilet Unelegant



Some young couples who have just got married like to change the restroom in the main bedroom into a glass toilet, believing that this can increase fun. For this pattern, Professor Ye said that although this design is acceptable to some young people, it is also not suitable from the perspective of feng shui, because the toilet is always a place with evil energy, belongs to yin, and should be concealed. Therefore, solid walls should be used instead of transparent glass walls.



Pattern 3: Unstable glass floor tiles



In the design of some luxurious western-style houses or duplex villas, some will use glass floor tiles as decoration, which means laying glass floor tiles on the floor of the hall or room and making patterns in them for decoration. Professor Ye said that because glass is transparent and cannot give people a sense of "down-to-earth", it can make people lack a sense of security. The floor in the hall or room must be stable, so glass floor tiles are not suitable for use at home.



Pattern 4: Glass wall decoration cannot align with the bed



Glass wall decoration is also a popular decoration technique among designers recently. It can enlarge the spatial sense of the house and is also full of changes, often surprising people. Professor Ye believes that glass wall decorations are acceptable, but there is a principle that they should not be aligned with the bed. In addition, glass wall decorations must be placed against the solid wall, so as not to make the space unclear. Professor Ye finally said that in short, there should not be too much glass decoration in homes, and different room structures have different opinions on how to use it.
