Tempered glass processing and production process

With the development of the times, the technological level of various industries is constantly changing and improving, and more new technologies are being widely used. In the construction industry, new building materials are introduced and used at every stage. Tempered glass is a commonly used glass material, and its characteristics are very clear. What is the process of processing tempered glass in a tempered glass processing plant? Let's take everyone to understand,Glass product  .

1、 Physical tempered glass

There are two production processes for tempered glass processing plants, which are created through physical and chemical methods. The production of physically tempered glass, as the name suggests, is to use the physical properties of glass as a material for further processing. Physical tempered glass, also known as quenched tempered glass, changes the physical structure of the glass through high-temperature heating. The main methods are as follows:

1. High temperature heating

Place ordinary glass in a heating furnace for heating, and when heated to 600 degrees Celsius, the internal structure of the glass will change. After high-temperature softening, the internal stress of the glass has been eliminated, forming a completely new structure.

2. Cooling

After high-temperature softening, remove it from the heating furnace for cooling. The method of use is to use a high-pressure gun with a multi nozzle nozzle to spray on both sides of the glass. The high-pressure spray gun can directly spray a large amount of cold air onto the glass, allowing it to cool more comprehensively and avoiding uneven cooling. By cooling the glass to room temperature, the resulting glass is tempered glass.

Tempered glass formed through physical treatment is subjected to a certain amount of tensile force on the inside and stress on the outside. Once this balance is broken, simply put, in the event of damage, external stress will be released. The entire tempered glass will break into small pieces, and these small pieces have no edges or corners around them, which are relatively stable and won't hurt people.

2、 Chemically tempered glass

Chemical tempered glass is also a commonly used method in tempered glass processing plants, using chemical means to process tempered glass. Simply put, it means changing the structure of glass through the replacement of chemical components to achieve the desired effect. When making tempered glass, glass containing alkali metal ions is placed in a molten lithium salt. At this time, sodium and potassium ions in the glass will be replaced with lithium ions.

After replacement, an exchange layer will be formed on the surface, and during the cooling process when taken out of this liquid, the contraction force of the outer layer will be slightly greater than that of the inner layer. After cooling to room temperature, the inner layer of the glass will be in a tensile state, while the outer layer will be under pressure, achieving the effect of tempered glass.

There are generally two processes used by tempered glass processing plants to process tempered glass, one is physical treatment, and the other is chemical treatment. Regardless of the production method, the effect of tempered glass obtained is the same. Tempered glass becomes relatively hard due to changes in its structure and stress mode, constantly in a tense state.
