Embossed glass

Embossed glass is a product made by rolling molten glass liquid through patterned rollers during rapid cooling. It can be embossed on one side or on both sides. Embossed glass is divided into three types: ordinary embossed glass, vacuum cold film embossed glass, and colored film embossed glass, with a general specification of 800mm × 700mm × 3mm, Glass product.

Embossed glass has the characteristic of transparency and non perspective, with various patterns and uneven surfaces. When light passes through, it produces diffuse reflection, so when viewed from one side of the glass, the object image becomes blurred. Embossed glass has a certain artistic effect due to its various patterns on the surface. It is commonly used for doors, windows, and partitions in offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and public separation rooms. When using, the pattern should be facing indoors.

Embossed glass, also known as patterned glass, is mainly used for indoor partitions, door and window glass, bathroom glass partitions, etc. The patterns and patterns on the glass are beautiful and exquisite, looking like they are pressed onto the surface of the glass, and the decorative effect is good.

This type of glass can block a certain line of sight while also having good transparency. To avoid dust pollution, it is important to ensure that the side with the printed pattern faces inward during installation.

Overview

Embossed glass is a type of flat glass manufactured using the rolling method. Before the glass hardens, a patterned roller is used to press patterns on one or both sides of the glass, thereby making patterned glass on one or both sides.

The surface of embossed glass is embossed with various patterns of different depths. Due to the unevenness of the surface, light diffuses when it passes through. Therefore, when looking at objects on one side of the glass, the object image becomes blurred, forming the characteristic of transparent and non transparent glass. In addition, embossed glass has a variety of patterns such as squares, dots, diamonds, and stripes on its surface, making it very beautiful and therefore has a good artistic decorative effect.

classification

The perspective of embossed glass varies depending on the pattern and distance.

According to its perspective, it can be divided into almost transparent and visible, slightly transparent and visible, almost invisible and completely invisible.

According to their types, they are divided into embossed glass, embossed vacuum aluminized glass, three-dimensional embossed glass, and colored film embossed glass. The physical and chemical properties of embossed glass are basically the same as that of ordinary transparent flat glass. It only has the characteristics of transparency and opacity in optics, can soften light, and has a screen protection effect to protect privacy and a certain decorative effect. Embossed glass is suitable for indoor partitions in buildings, bathroom doors and windows, and various occasions that require light but also block visibility.

Inspection method

(1) The inspection methods for glass size deviation (including deviation), missing angles, curvature, edge protrusion, and defects shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of "Flat Glass" (GB 11614-2009).

(2) The thickness of the glass is measured at the midpoint of the four sides using a 50mm diameter gauge.

(3) When inspecting the lines, hot circles, inclusions, bubbles, wrinkles, scars, cracks, and indentations of glass, place the glass vertically and observe it under natural light, with the observer 0.6m away from the glass and the gaze perpendicular to the glass surface.

(4) The pattern deviation can be divided into three forms, and the length h is measured with a metal ruler.

choice

Embossed glass is also a type of flat glass, which is only treated with embossing on top of the flat glass, so the selection is the same as that of flat glass. It is only necessary to consider whether the pattern of embossed glass is beautiful or not when choosing, which is closely related to personal aesthetic values. In addition, some embossed glass is still colored, so it is also necessary to consider the coordination with the color and design style of the indoor space.

application

Embossed glass is suitable for indoor partitions, bathroom doors and windows, and various occasions that require lighting but also block visibility. Embossed glass is made by pressing, and its strength is much greater than ordinary flat glass. At the same time, embossed glass can be produced in various colors and can be used as a good decorative material for various indoor spaces. Embossed glass has the characteristics of high strength and good decorative effect, making it widely used in various indoor spaces. The living room, dining room, study, screen, and entrance are all suitable for installing embossed glass. Similar to embossed glass, frosted glass has no difference in optical properties compared to embossed glass. However, the texture on the surface of frosted glass is smaller and finer, so the light reflected, refracted, and diffused by frosted glass is more uniform and gentle compared to embossed glass.
