A large collection of door and window glass, to introduce you to glass. Let's take a look at which one is most suitable for your home

Glass is very familiar to everyone and is commonplace in our daily lives. There are various types and styles of door and window glass in the market now. So, do you know anything about glass? Did you choose the right glass for your doors and windows? What type of glass should we use when purchasing doors and windows? Below, the editor will introduce different types of glass applications,Glass product   .

Let's talk about the types of glass and its characteristics

Tempered glass

This is a type of prestressed glass processed from flat glass or float glass on a platform.

The main advantages of tempered glass are:

Firstly, the strength is several times higher than that of ordinary glass, with a bending strength of 3-5 times that of ordinary glass and an impact strength of 5-10 times that of ordinary glass. While improving strength, it also improves safety.

Secondly, the increase in load-bearing capacity improves the fragility. If tempered glass is accidentally damaged, it will also present small shards without sharp angles, greatly reducing the harm to the human body.

Thirdly, the resistance to rapid cooling and heating of tempered glass is 2-3 times higher than that of ordinary glass, and it can generally withstand temperature changes above 150LC, which has a significant effect on preventing thermal cracking.

Laminated glass

Laminated glass is two or several pieces of float glass sandwiched between a strong and tough PVB (ethylene polymer butyrate) adhesive film, which is pressed by a hot press machine to exhaust as much air as possible in the middle. Then, it is placed in a high-pressure steam kettle to dissolve a small amount of residual air into the adhesive film using high temperature and pressure.

It has the performance of shockproof, anti-theft, explosion-proof, and shattering without splashing. Belonging to safety glass, it is generally used for building doors and windows, explosion-proof lighting sheds, glass roofs, banks, cars, decoration, etc.

Hollow glass

Hollow glass is a new type of building material that has good insulation, sound insulation, aesthetic applicability, and can reduce the self weight of buildings. It is made of two (or three) pieces of glass, using a high-strength and high airtightness composite adhesive to bond the glass pieces with an aluminum alloy frame containing a desiccant, making it an efficient sound insulation glass.

Hollow built-in louver glass

Hollow built-in louver glass is made by adding aluminum louvers to the hollow glass, and the louvers can move inside the glass, combining the characteristics of shading and dimming; It can be controlled by magnetic or electric remote control. It is adopted by most consumers of sunshine houses.

Bulletproof glass

Bulletproof glass refers to a special type of glass with high safety performance that does not detach from the frame and has good integrity or non penetrating damage under a certain equivalent of bomb explosion attack. This type of glass not only combines the characteristics of ordinary glass, but also can prevent bullet shooting. Therefore, it is widely used in security places, cars, airplanes, bank management, and is a high-end glass. The thickness of bulletproof glass generally ranges from 25mm to 28mm, with a width of 1500mm and a height of 1500mm to 1700mm. But now there are also ultra-thin bulletproof glass on the market, with a thickness of only 12mm.

Fireproof glass

Fireproof glass mainly plays a role in controlling the spread of fire or isolating smoke, and we usually use fire resistance to classify it. Due to its special processing technology, it can maintain its integrity and insulation during specific fire resistance tests. The original sheet of fire-resistant glass is usually made of float glass, tempered glass, composite fire-resistant glass, and single sheet fire-resistant glass.
