Glass production process
First, let us first understand what glass is. Glass is formed by melting sand and other chemicals together. A non-metallic silicate material that forms a continuous network structure during melting and gradually increases in viscosity during cooling and hardens without crystallizing, glass pot with lid .
Glass firing is mainly divided into four processes: batching, melting, forming, annealing and so on. First of all. The ingredients should be adjusted according to the specific glass products. Before the ingredients are put into the furnace, all the ingredients need to be mixed together and fully stirred evenly.
After the preparation of the preliminary ingredients, then it is melted. Put the prepared materials into the furnace and melt them under the high temperature of the furnace. The temperature in the furnace can be determined according to different glass products, generally 1200- Around 1600 degrees, the fuel can be heavy oil or electricity. It usually takes about eight hours to melt into molten glass.
After undergoing melting again, it is shaped. Molding is the conversion of molten glass into solid glass products. This time is the solid state of the glass we need. Molding is a cooling process that needs to be performed within a certain temperature range. It is divided into manual molding and mechanical molding. After forming, the glass changes from a liquid state to a plastic state and then into a brittle solid state.
Then it is annealing. If the glass product quickly enters the normal temperature at a high temperature, it will become hard and brittle. At this time, any defects produced during manufacturing will produce permanent thermal stress of the glass product, which will reduce the glass product’s thermal stress. Strength and stability, annealing is to keep the temperature in a certain temperature range or slowly cool down for a period of time to reduce the thermal stress in the glass to the allowable value. The annealing process can be
